Forget I’m here

You want great shots — no, the epic shots — without anyone feeling directed or self-conscious

How many of your guests really feel themselves in front of the camera?

Who’s this?

Story-telling down to the most delicate detail

Everyone says they want a ‘documentary wedding photographer’ but that is too much of a detached approach for me.

You want to capture the spirit of the day from the inside, not the outside. Only then can you relive the nail-nibbling nerves getting ready, the joy and gratitude holding your partner’s hand, the confetti clouds and the wild abandon on the dance-floor.

The juicy bits are snuggled in the split second your guard falls.

The momentary twinkle in your partner’s eye. Making your guests feel at ease and knowing how to heighten the emotion captured down the lens. Think of me like your wedding chameleon.

Nothing’s missed, especially the most intimate moments.

I got married to this wonderful human being, twice. Once in Australia and once in Cornwall.

The experience gave me and Amy an insider’s look at what a wedding really means

It’s the nuances of each relationship I love. And the spirit of the couple that makes each wedding special. This is what elevates the images I take.

ARE YOU GETTING THOSE TINGLES THINKING ABOUT YOUR OWN WEDDING YET?

Being able to lead a conversation. Capture someone’s physicality in a certain way. Talk to someone to make them feel at ease.

These are the skills I’ve used as an actor for 20 odd years.

Working on screen and stage (and off), I’ve developed an innate ability to judge a situation. I’ve had ample experience managing high-stakes situations with tact and grace, don’t you worry.

And I know you’re the kind of couple that isn’t put off by a few rain clouds. But I want you to be confident I’m here to adapt.

“A really considerate consultation beforehand to ensure they knew exactly what we wanted and if there were any family 'issues' to be negotiated.

On the day, the photography was never intrusive, but he ensured we had ALL the shots we needed and more. Simon was SO considerate, supportive, and felt like another guest.

We were totally overwhelmed by the result. Hard recommend.”

These skills have also matured further from 7 seasons as official photographer of Channel 4’s Married at First Sight.

(They got rid of their photographer for the first season because he kept getting in the way of the camera!)

Year after year, shooting so many couples who have only met moments before has been incredible training, and given me wonderful tools to make people comfortable in front of the camera.

You’ve got to be spontaneous to collect all these different emotions and create a narrative that encapsulates it all.

“ As you can imagine meeting your wife for the first time at the altar and with a crew watching made it a nerve-wracking day. Having Simon there really helped, he was a great laugh and so easy to get along with. Not to mention how amazing his photos were, they obviously speak for themselves, absolutely stunning. We couldn’t be happier.

Such a professional guy, Couldn’t recommend a better photographer or person.”

“ As you can imagine meeting your wife for the first time at the altar and with a camera crew watching made it a very nervous day. But having Simon from Indigo Wild Studio there really helped because he was a great laugh and so easy to get along with. Not to mention how amazing the photos were. They speak for themselves. They are absolutely stunning and we couldn’t be happier. Such a professional guy, all the little touches like the photos and box they came in really made it so special. Couldn’t recommend a better photographer and person.”
